X vs. Y

Postby darksideoftheanime » Mon Oct 20, 2008 9:35 pm

I thought of a new game to try. The rules are simple. You pick two things, anything you can think of and put them into a match.

Example: X vs Y in a [some sort of contest]

The next person who posts must pick who wins and tell why. Then they must come up another pairing. Let's start things off

Psycho 101 vs iwatchtoomuchanime in a yodeling contest.

Psycho wins because iwatch lives in Oklahoma, and you can't hear anything over all those tornadoes.

"Must be Jelly 'cause Jam don't shake like that!"

The name "Soccer" vs. the name "Football" (for the same sport)

Actually, it's Fútbol, so that's a draw, or tie, which I HATE! You play to win the game. If you don't win, you lose, not a freakin' tie! Do a shootout like the NHL.

Um.. Gun vs. Sword.

Bleach because Ichigo talks slightly less and would obliterate Naruto before he could get in another "Dattebayo!"

Glue because once it solidifies rubber won't be able to bend or move.

Ummm I care about Futurama tyvm. :P

I give it to Batman because he has so many gadgets he could not doubt find one to stop Iron Man. Plus in the dc comics Batman is really dark and even has plans to take out Superman should he ever turn bad.

Kuh! The Dark Knight wins easily. As with every series of superhero movies, the first movie is always the setup, in this case, Begins set up TDK. And the second of (usually) three is the meat of the franchise, which TDK is. Iron Man is but another setup to Iron Man II, which won't be out until 2010. If Favreu decides to make this one considerably darker, then you might have something for comparison's sake. But TDK has so much extra writing built upon it, it's just not fair to lump it and IM together right now.

The Deep Blue Sea because Outer Space has grey aliens who probe in inappropriate places.

Asuka because Kallen would have to wait for orders to attack, and Asuka'd just go "screw it" and blow everything up.

L would've won if not for the unfair advantage of, I don't know.. the supernatural. Put them in a fair fight, and L beats Light, hands down.
