Re: last.fm
For some odd reason there were no charts generated this week for our last.fm group. Not sure why. No reason given on the site. Perhaps there weren't enough people scrobbling tunes.

Re: last.fm
Possibly because a release of iTunes caused the scrobbler to hang and crash. ITunes would hang whenever I connected my iPod touch to it and I would have to Force quit out.

Re: last.fm
Mainly to reduce clutter in my artists library. I had a whole pile in there who I don't listen to anymore because I flushed their songs out of my iTunes library.

Re: last.fm
The last.fm site has been updated and basically users are left with nothing. Scrobbling isn't happening right now. The community forums and groups are gone. Your friends list has been split into "Followers" and "(users you are) Following"(sic) lists. There is pretty well nothing you can do to customize your profile. Your profile description is limited to 200 characters of plain text. No BBCode. Checked the support forum and I came across a post from an official account promising that old features will be brought back...sometime in the future. Whoopee.... I read a number of comments from disgruntled users complaining that they have had issues playing back music because the site is using Spotify (or something to that effect). There were a handful of subscribers who cancelled their accounts and posted the cancellation messages in the "I hate the new last.fm"(sic) thread.
As for me...I've moved my scrobbler off onto an external HD and deleted if from my laptop. I'll check on last.fm in December to see what shape it's in.

I can't believe I scrobbled almost 25K songs in 2014. Not going to be anywhere near that in 2015.

Re: last.fm
There's no way in the world I could imagine myself scrobbling 25K plays in a year. I'd be barely able to finish playing every track in my culled iTunes library. I say "culled" since there are about 1K tracks I've dumped into archive iTunes libraries. As for not scrobbling now...I don't miss it a bit.

Re: last.fm
I just noticed the Scrobbler that runs on Windows 10 costs money. A dollar, but money, nonetheless.
You get it from the Windows App store.

Re: last.fm
Logged onto last.fm yesterday. Nothing to report in terms of apparent changes since the website revisioning back in August. No community pages. Can't flush your scrobbles en masse. I'll report back on any changes if I see any when I next log in...probably end of June.

Re: last.fm
Is anybody still using LastFM ? My scrobbler is still on and it scrobbles whatever I've played on iTunes, my iPod and Spotify. But I don't think anybody cares anymore.
Maybe it's time to bail. Thoughts anybody?
