Re: Rate the music above you
8.5/10
That was a very strange and cool journey. Some great meditation music. The final part really was beautiful. The middle part of the song was pretty weak though. Pretty, but didn't wow me.

Re: Rate the music above you
6.5/10 I like the original version from the show, but this one is far too monotone. Just feels lifeless compared to the original, it needs some variety and more pitch.
Because I think depressing/sad songs are the most interesting:

This was everyone's jam during middle school
I guess puberty forces you to listen to depressing grunge songs. Wonderful guitar playing and I love the lyrics. I was never a fan of Blink 182's vocals, but they fit. Would be an 8.5 but nostalgia won't let me rate this lower than a 9 haha.

Guess who's back!! Ha ha! Yeah, feels like I haven't done one of these in a long while, so I figured I'd try to get back into the rotation of things.
4/10. Really very much so not my cup of tea. But this is a bit higher than I'd probably rate a hip-hop tune, heh heh. It does have a tone and lyrical creativity that I don't tend to hear that often in songs like this.
Anybody who's seen the movie Rock Star with Mark Whalburg in it will probably recognize this song. I didn't like the movie that much and glam rock isn't my favorite but this song is actually extremely well written for a power ballad. It has a truly raw emotional presence where many other songs like it are more corny in nature.

Re: Rate the music above you
7.5/10 Pretty good, but a little on the cookie cutter side of glam rock and missing a really strong hook. Not too crazy about the drowned out sound at the beginning or the somewhat raw quality of the mic at the beginning. Otherwise it does have a nice sound to it.

8.0/10: My favorite aspect of country music, the storytelling. I had a feeling that by the end of this song something would that make the title character not a 'coward' but it was not how I expected it to happen. When you can look at a song and talk about it like it's a short story, that has to account for something.

8.5/10 These melodic, harmonizing songs really are the sound of the 60's. Shame they died out with metal in the 70s. Alternative brought a similar sound back in the late 90s and there are plenty of modern bands experimenting with something similar.

8/10. Not sure I like Billy Joe's voice during the melodic part at the beginning. His vocal style just doesn't fit that tone. Great rock cover of one of my all time favorite folk songs though.

7/10 Kinda reminds me of older Red Hot Chili Peppers songs, but then QotSA and Them Crooked Vultures songs often remind me of something else.

If that run time is too long for you you can jump to 3:15 to skip the intro, but I like the intro, I think it's neat.

A little too harsh for my taste. The song was a lot more engaging when the vocals were more natural. I did enjoy the music, but the vocals kinda ruin it for me.

7/10. Not a big fan of the whole hip-hop aspects of it, but it was really nice and upbeat and it made me smile in a sort of uplifting way, heh heh.

Intense, but melodic and passionate. I love powerful and emotional rock that uses dreamy vocals. When the guitar playing relaxed a bit it was even more awesome. Ran a little too long, but I liked it.

7.5/10: This is a song I enjoyed more for the music than for the singing. I really liked the use of the strings in the arrangement but something about the singing just didn't do it for me.

Cute and Disney-like. It put me in a good mood. The vocals were a little weak unforunately. I really liked the ethereal music.

7/10. It had a lot of pretty nice string and piano melodies, and mega points are earned for being Monster related (:D) but I really wasn't a fan of the remix aspect of it. I actually thought in the first few seconds there was some sort of glitch happening, heh heh.

7.0/10: With a name like Meat Puppets I wasn't sure what to expect (my bet was somthing like thrash metal
). Luckily, it was a nice, laid-back instrumental. Plus, that album cover is sweet

7/10 - It's not my favourite track on the album but I still enjoy it. This is stuff one can sink into and vanish.
