I just saw this on the CBS Evening News...I can't believe that it was in there for 50 years and that it wasn't removed once they knew about it!

I started off by saying to myself "What the hell were these people thinking...". Then I opted to say that they probably didn't have the brains to actually think.... I heard about this tonight from a friend and I still can't believe it.

Really disturbing how people can just put their own children into the trash like that. Not just in this case, but in general.

The couple, who were arrested on Sunday, have admitted to the charge and said they did it because their baby was crying really loudly while they were trying to play video games, police said.

Why would they even have a child if video games were more important to them?

From my end of things I never got around to asking myself that question. I just left it at "kids having kids". I have no idea what options are presented to pregnant teens in this city.

A number of religious buildings in the Ottawa area were defaced with racist graffiti recently. It's nice to see the members of the general community come out in a show of solidarity... http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/ottawa-racist-graffiti-solidarity-synagogue-1.3859097

Very nice to see. Especially with everyone losing their damn minds lately.

I guess this problem is not just in the United States. Sad to see racism and also the lack of respect to another's property, but glad to see good people pull together and not be complacent.

Vancouver is not a third world city. There's absolutely no need to ride a train on its outside. The trains go pretty darn fast and there's a high voltage power panel between the rails. Thrill seekers of this sort definitely are candidates for Darwin Awards.

Surely there must be more to do in such a town for the sake of thrills! Especially when it is so cold out of doors.

Okay, I'm going to sound like my parents, but (some or most?) young people think they are invincible. Total lack of judgement.

A woman tries to smuggle her pet cat into New Zealand. I have no idea why anyone would try such a thing. Having visited New Zealand once, I have no sympathy for this woman.

Explained!... Why the Japanese have KFC chicken on Xmas. I figured it was something about the lack of whole chickens or turkey in any form whatsoever but never knew for sure. Now I know....
