Phil Everly

Many years ago I picked up The Everly Brothers' comeback album "Born Yesterday" at a used record store. The main reason for making the purchase was their cover of Rank and File's "Amanda Ruth". At first I wasn't too impressed with it but over the years it has grown on me and today it's always in my annual rotation of songs in iTunes. After reading the news a number of songs from that album kept repeating in my head... RIP Phil

Seems like 2014 is not starting of well in the regards of people passing. Hope the trend stops.

Philip Seymour Hoffman

I think that he was one of those actors who would have received a Lifetime Acheivement Award in another 30 years or so. The various characters he had played up until now were just incredible.

So very sad for his children, family and friends.

I am truly saddened by this tragedy: a father tries in vain to rescue his wife and four children from their burning vehicle.

He has to watch in front of his eyes as his entire family dies. That's just wrong on so many levels. And the other woman with minor injuries gets to live the rest of her life knowing she killed 4 people by driving like an idiot. This is the shit I see every day and yet friends and coworkers wonder why I get so upset over it. You never know when that lack of a turn signal or something else could turn into this.
