How mixed my memories are. The Xbox 360, for whatever reason, never supported standard USB gaming devices. As such, when I wished to use a racing wheel to play Forza, I needed to scour eBay for a new device entirely. Doing likewise to play Street Fighter proved an expensive excess.
Now, Sony's counterpart had no such incumbencies. PC-compatible hardware, including keyboards, often worked directly. Admittedly my second-hand PS3 became inoperable not long after I bought it, but I try to remember it for its positives.

Re: In Memoriam
^The Xbox 360 is what I consider my all-time favorite system. I have more games for that system than any other in my collection (approximately 140). Oddly enough, in the not so distant future, people are going to be collecting like crazy for this system, but I already have the vast majority of the games that I want for it, so I'm basically set.

Hard to believe but Anton Yelchin just passed. Only 27 years old. Very sad.

Re: In Memoriam
Leonard Cohen
I remember watching a black and white documentary film about him in senior secondary school and wondering who exactly the guy was. Later I borrowed a song book of his first album from the library and learned to play a few of his songs. RIP Mr. Cohen. You made wrote captivating poetry and wonderful music to accompany it.

I briefly heard about Alan Thicke before I walked out the door yesterday, but at the time I didn't have the details.

One of the songs I sang at karaoke on Christmas Eve was Wham's "Last Christmas". ...And now George Michael is no longer among us.

Bill Paxton died the day before the Oscars. 2-17 is starting up right where 2016 left off.
