Official NBA Thread (2013-2014 Season)

Postby d.yaro » Thu Jan 02, 2014 5:44 am

For some odd reason I've been finding myself peeking at stories about the Toronto Raptors this year. I'm not really sure why. Perhaps it's the oddity of seeing online story headlines about the Raptors wining "again". In my view of the NBA that just doesn't sound right. "Lose again" is normal. "Red-hot Raptors"? Not part of my vocabulary and phrase index. Anyways, here's the story that prompted this little musing about the team...

Well, the Raptors have booked themselves into the playoffs for the first time in 6 years. Good show on them. There had been rumours that they'd tank this season for a shot at top spot in the draft lottery but that obviously hasn't been the case. Now, if only Toronto FC could fulfill their potential this year.
