If you complain that your favored anime title isn't licensed when a shonen/harem/moe/action/mecha title is, shut up! But when it's live-action, we can complain all we want!

The license of Robo Geisha is pretty cool, btw.

Funimation's Twitter gave a hint of "surreal" for today's news (and confirms it will be anime). Gia from animevice is guessing Kaiba. Haven't seen this at all yet, and it's hard to search for images online as it keeps bringing up Yu-gi-oh pics.

Kaiba is one of the underrated series of the past few years, lost in the storm of tsundere girls and shounen action titles. It would be really nice to see it get a license as I've been wanting to finish it.

Hmm, never watched FLCL, but I know it's considered an anime staple. I just remember the DVDs being horrendously overpriced, so I never got it. Good license rescue.

I'm hoping the FLCL gives a shred of hope for them re-realising Paranoia Agent. It needs it!!

I'm over the moon now about FLCL. Now I shall continue chanting in my little fangirl corner with my fingers cross: Utena-Sailor Moon-Cardcaptor Sakura. PLEASE GIVE US GIRLS SOMETHING FANTASTIC FUNI!!

Other than that, new title's I'd love to see would be Hetalia (with how popular this is at cons how has no one licensed it?) and DMC. Come on Krauser!

.... any of these titles would make me wet enough to try burning a ciggaret on my tongue. :sweat

/End lame attempt at a DMC joke.

Pretty happy with the FLCL announcement and it came up a few times when the Roll-out was first announced. I am disappointed that only one title was announced today and hope that if there are only two more titles left they at least got one new title.

Awesome rescue even though I already own it... I hope we get some more rescues so I can afford to buy classic series.

As long as the blu-ray isn't like their recent shitty upscales, I'm all for this.

^Yeah, I hope that they've been paying attention to the comments over on the Blu-ray forum at AoD.

And I'm also hoping that they keep the dub. The rep couldn't confirm that over on Twitter- said to give him 24 hours, so let's see how it goes.

The English dub for FLCL is one of the few examples where I don't feel compromised by listening to a dub. Would definitely be in their interest to secure the original if they haven't, as I can't imagine creating a new one, along with the disgruntled fans that would refuse to then buy it, would be less than buying that license.

I actually prefer the FLCL dub over the Japanese. I'm not sure how many people have actually seen the sub considering the price of the DVD's and the fact that most people became aware of it due to the adult swim run and not fansubs, so keeping the dub would be in Funi's best interest.

Is it ok for me to wish for the rest to be rescues too? Or at least a good Josei? Something off the beaten path would be nice. Tenjho Tenge and Serial Experiments Lain are two worth while rescues I can think of, for both the action and boobs crowd and the crazy psycho-babble crowd.

I would like to see Funi getting in the business of licensing live action drama based of off manga. They have a certain way of out doing the corresponding anime series. It might be the lack of trying to be cute seiyuu though :sweat

i'm sorry, if they get Tenjho Tenge they're wasting valuable money.

and i want Cardcaptor Sakura grabbed too, BUT i want them to bring the sweet ass CLOW Books box sets too, if they don't then I don't give a damn and I will eBay that crap before touching any resupplied versions.

I like Tenjho Tenge, though the best parts were the first half and the OAV, the flashback arc was way too long.

The flashback arc was way too long, but it kills absolutely anything Ikki Tousen has done.

that's just saying that poop that slides out easily is better than shit that takes forever and hurts, they're both shit.

Tenjho had potential, but after ep 8, it fell and got stomped on.

Ikki was NEVER good.
